I'm glad to see Ben is getting really involved with Harry. He feeds him, changes him and he's always playing with him when we're not around. I think it's great that they're building their relationship now and I hope it continues as they grow older.
I'm also glad to see Ben is trying to get to know Leighton a bit better. I've always been conscious that their relationship hasn't been great and that it's my fault so I'm really pleased that they're getting along so well nowadays. Ben seems to mostly talk about his little brother but of course the ever family orientated Leighton doesn't mind.
Ben's been having a go at cooking. He used to be quite good at the little bakers oven and so I encouraged him to cook us all breakfast. As you can see in the picture above, his attempt did not go so well. It was burnt waffles all round. I'm still glad he gave it a go and of course we ate them graciously and saved the rest. Lets just hope his next attempt is a little more successful! |
We saved up enough money to buy Ben a guitar at last. His favourite colour is purple so I'm hoping he'll love this. We've left it at the end of his bed so he gets a little surprise in the morning. I can't wait to see his face and hear him play. I'm sure he'll be quite good after all that time with his xylophone.
