Well, some exciting news to share, I've had the baby!! I was out and about when I went into labour so I managed to get to the hospital this time and Leighton joined me there. The birth took longer than last time but it's all worth it for another beautiful baby boy! We've named him Harry, it was mostly Leighton's choice, apparently after his great grand father.
Harry has been born athletic and grumpy, though you wouldn't know it yet, he's always giggling to himself and laughing when Leighton plays with him. Leighton is being a wonderful dad, I hope Ben doesn't get jealous. It's clear Leighton was born to be a father, he is so involved with Harry and now Ben too. It's a big regret of mine that I pushed Leighton away when Ben was born.
Ben is very pleased to have a little brother and has put up the painting of me over Harry's crib. I hope Ben will look out for his little bro when he gets bigger. Some great Aunt of Leighton's has sent this weird doll for Harry, we've named it rainbow and Harry seems to like it.
The day after Harry was born it was Bens birthday. We were all so busy with the new baby that we didn't have a proper celebration. Ben says he doesn't mind but I still feel bad, he's grown so fast, I'm pleased to still have a little one about the house to stop me feeling so old.
The first thing I did when Ben aged up was get him a haircut, that ponytail does not suit him. He's now got a fashionable hairdo that'll hopefully bag him that date that he keeps dreaming about...with his eyes open. I can't believe how much Ben looks like his dad, I can't see a single bit of me in him at all. Who knows who Harry will grow to look like.
We wanted to buy Ben a guitar for his birthday but funds were low. We've promised him one as soon as we can afford it. For now he's focusing on his painting.
